One of the most important features of participating in Maine Home Visiting programs is gaining access to the best possible child health care information.  The following links address some common health concerns you may have, including immunizations, child mental health and finding a doctor near you.  Please ask your home visitor for more information on applying for Maine Care.

Maine WIC: This website provides information about Maine WIC,  a nutrition program for thousands of Maine families.  WIC provides all kinds of families with free nutrition advice, tips for staying healthy, recipes and resources for growing families.   You'd be surprised who qualifies.  http://www.state.me.us/dhs/wic/

Maine Association for Infant Mental Health (MeAIMH): MeAIMH's website offers valuable information on the emotional, physical and social needs of newborns to five year-old children.  http://www.infantmentalhealth.org/

Find a Dentist: The USA Dental Directory is a searchable list of dentists.  A dentist can be located by specialty, zip code, city and state, or last name. http://www.usadentaldirectory.com

Find an Eye Doctor: Eyedocfinder.com is a searchable database of eyecare providers across the United States.  Providers are listed by insurance plan accepted, specialty areas, office hours and languages spoken. http://www.eyedocfinder.com
